We went down to Baker Park and spent a few hours roaming around and finding some great spots to get some unique family photos done.
Despite it being overcast and eventually raining we had a great time and got some great images to prove it!

After I did the maternity session with Fay and family, my wife did her usual thing and went shopping at Home Sense. I think it’s a Mom thing that once they have someone pregnant around they have the urge to fulfill a void that looms within them… Well this time it worked out for my good and for Isabella. She by chance found the Isabella monogram you see in some of these photos. SCORE!
Fay, Corey and Owen welcomed Isabella into their family on April 9th at 8:38am, she weighed in at 7lb 12oz.
I went over to their house to meet her for the first time and document the early days of her life. While at their house I found out that Corey had really stepped it up and became MR. Mom. helping out with feedings bum changes and all the parental tasks like all good Men should do! High fives bud, well played!

Just before Easter I had the chance to photograph Fay, Corey, Owen and soon to be Isabella.
Fay and my wife Jenn have been friends now for some 25 years. So we invited them over to our house for their maternity session so our families could spend some time together. Jenn made us all lunch, our kids all played outside, and we got in a good visit all while making awesome photos!
Being that they were scheduled to have little Isabella over Easter we thought it could be fun to paint Fay’s belly with a giant Easter egg at the end of the session.
If you are having a baby soon and have an idea for belly paint I am all ears, it’s a blast and makes for some original photos!

Yesterday I had some good friends of ours come over for a little prenatal studio session. Our kids all played outside in the spring air and we spent some time inside getting this stage of the Motherhood journey captured.
We will be doing some newborn photos as well, once their precious cargo finished downloading…

Great pictures, maternity photos are a lovely concept
Say HI to Ryan once again.
This little guy had his First year session and a cake smash with me just a little while ago. Now usually with a cake smash session afterwards there isn’t much cake left at all, but this guy and his big brother take after their mom and have no interest in the stuff!. You see his Mom, Kendra, is a personal fitness coach/fitness competitor dedicated to a healthy lifestyle. (Check out her website.) So when presented with a cake to smash and eat…well lets just say there was a lot of cake left in the end.

First we started with some first year protraits…
Then we sang him happy Birthday…
Once we were done that we gave Ryan his Cake to Smash…
But that just made him upset…
So Dad came to the rescue and showed him that it was actually delicious…
He didn’t want anything to do with that so he turned his back to it…
After a while he thought he might try again…
He soon realized that this can be fun!!
And so the tale goes of another happy one year old that had a chance to have his cake and smash it too…
